Position Summary

The account payable position requires analytical and problem-solving skills. He/ She is expected to work efficiently in an environment that is fast paced and should be able to easily adapt to changes in the workload.

Essential Functions:

1. Receive invoices daily and coordinate approvals.
2. Code and entering invoices in Great Plains
3. Prepare weekly payment reports to manager to approve payments.
4. Follow up with vendors and/or internal personnel to resolve issues and invoices not received timely.
5. File and maintain vendor files including W9s and EFT requests.
6. Assist with filing and scanning as needed.
7. Code and deposit checks in the bank.
8. Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standard
9. Assist with month end closing and audit requests as needed. Providing administrative support including the preparation of spreadsheets to the finance department
10. Maintain financial records safeguards and organized.
11. Assist with other special projects.
12. Participating in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and   regulatory guidelines.

Education and Experience:

• Have an intermediate understanding of computers and systems.
• Have 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Great Plains experience a plus.
