Job Posting for Pharmacy Technician at Indian Health Service

Summary

This position is located in the Crow Service Unit Pharmacy Department in the Billings Area. The position duties are designated primarily at the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital and will also perform duties at the Pryor and Lodge Grass Clinic as needed for delivery of patient care services. The purpose of the position is to assist the Pharmacy staff by performing the following duties.

Duties

  • Perform technical processes, ., filling, labeling, and preparing sterile and non-sterile medications for dispensing and/or distribution to patients.
  • Maintain pharmacy storeroom and hospital drug stocks.
  • Repackage drugs into usable sizes and maintain controls for review by a pharmacist.
  • Communicate with patients, medical personnel, vendors and other persons utilizing pharmacy information systems and knowledge of medications.
  • Provide assistance to Pharmacy staff by answering and prioritize calls from patients needing information on prescription status, refills, etc ..
