Rate of Pay: $15.00/hour.

The Lifeguard will be responsible for knowing and enforcing all aquatic center policies and procedures, while providing a safe aquatic environment at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corp Community Center (RJKCCC) in Quincy, IL. This position will monitor all users in the aquatic areas, assist patrons, assist with cleaning the aquatic facilities, and operate and set up equipment as needed.
Job Duties
- Become familiar with and enforce all RJKCCC aquatic center policies and procedures consistently at all times.
- Monitor all aquatic center users, while educating users on proper use ensuring safe use of all aquatic features and equipment.
- Recognize and respond quickly and effectively in all emergency situations.
- Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services, based upon level of certification.
- Inspect the aquatic facilities prior to each shift, and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the aquatic supervisor(s) on duty.

What are We Looking For?
Education & Certifications:
- High school/equivalent diploma is helpful
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid certification
- Must pass a pre-employment physical skills lifeguarding test
