JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a highly capable SharePoint administrator to manage our SharePoint environment. You will be configuring our SharePoint platform, adding document libraries, and developing shared storage space and backup procedures. To ensure success as a SharePoint administrator, you should exhibit solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and the ability to create a positive experience for end-users. An outstanding SharePoint administrator will be someone whose expertise results in smooth integration and efficient online collaboration. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and manage MAHEC’s SharePoint sites including integration with other systems such as Active Directory. Ensure optimal uptime and reliability of SharePoint sites. Work directly with and back up other engineers on items including server network security, server management, collaboration systems (WEBEX), and escalated Tier 2 trouble tickets. Will also work directly with user account control, service desk, informatics, data systems and IT training as an integral part of the overall IT department. Provide SharePoint support and end-user training. Collaborate with other MAHEC teams to identify optimal solutions, modify systems, ensure reliability, and effectively meet organizational needs. Deploy, debug, and execute projects and initiatives that have organization level impacts. Be part of the after-hours Tier 2 support rotation. Finally, the ability to apply the depth of knowledge maintained and gained through this process in real life scenarios as appropriate. SPECIFIED SKILLS Microsoft SharePoint management Proven experience with the design, creation, and management SharePoint sites and services, including OneDrive and Teams Previous experience working with Microsoft 365. Familiar with security best practices to maintain data integrity and policy compliance Backup/augment Cloud Services Engineer Account Management Familiarity with aspects of AD account management including PowerShell scripting for certain functions Backup/augment account management team SharePoint Training Demonstrated experience providing training and support related to SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services Experience collaborating with other team members to develop online and in-person training for staff Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively using resources appropriate to the issues that need addressed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job is typically sedentary, but applicant should be able to lift 50 lbs. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field plus 2-3 years’ experience or an equivalent combination of the two PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field plus 10 years’ experience plus IT related industry standard certifications such as Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA Experience in a healthcare setting highly desirable REQUIRED LICENSES: None SCHEDULE: Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position. Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per work week; weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionally required. Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by the team leader.
