JOB OBJECTIVE The inside Sales Representative is responsible for developing and building client accounts to increase customer service and sales within the company. The ideal candidate will service customers by responding to client needs, building relationships, quoting orders, maintaining stock, tracking and following up on deliveries RESPONSIBILITES Provide counter service by taking telephone or in person orders and responding to Customer requests. Resolve Customer and merchandise problems. Respond to Customer inquiries regarding product selection, placement of orders, requests for prices and quotations, complaints and scheduling of deliveries, and providing Customer follow ups Knowledge of all hardware lines such as plumbing, lawn and garden, tools, fasteners, paint and sundries. Knowledge of building materials such as lumber, drywall, insulation, doors, and windows. Service current customers by responding to customer needs for hardware and building products. Maintain positive relations with current customers in person or over the phone. Advise customers on various hardware products. Display or demonstrate product use using samples or catalogs. Recommend new products for customer use. Track delivery dates and follow up on delayed deliveries. Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and the stockroom. Maintain a clean store environment including doors, floors, windows, ceilings, restrooms, and work stations. Clean and dust products and displays and face products. Ensure aisles and other areas are clear of obstacles to allow customers to shop freely. Operate and balance cash register daily. QUALIFICATIONS Qualified candidates must be self-motivated High school degree, college preferred. Possess a willingness to learn. Excellent communication and computer skills. Analytical and pricing knowledge with the ability to conduct comparison analysis and make sound decisions. Knowledge of retail computer systems,MS word and Excel a plus. Ability to operate computer, calculator, and cash register. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
