Job Summary:
The Engineering Technician Jr./Mid. Will be plan and execute quality assurance and quality control processes in accordance with DoD, DoN and system standards for Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Job Duties:
- Plan and execute quality assurance and quality control processes in accordance with DoD, DoN and system standards.
- Validate system changes are performed such that they ensure quality, correctness and efficiency of the system and sound principles of engineering.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout the engineering/development lifecycle through production release
- Validate that quality assurance checklists conform to and are directly traceable to design, requirements, specification, test plans and test report documentation
- Participate in technical change control boards, engineering review boards and change advisory boards
Mandatory Skill Requirements (must have):
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance.
- Demonstrated skills, to include monitoring and documenting system changes, validating that system changes comply with established standards and regulations; all testing and quality assurance activities/processes are performed such that they ensure quality, correctness, and efficiencies; technical documentation is directly traceable to quality assurance checklists
- Working knowledge of Quality Management, Risk Management Framework (RMF), FISCAM requirements and Configuration Management
- Strong analytical skills
- Customer-oriented
- Clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing.
Education/Equivalent:
Associate's Degree in " Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology," or Engineering Technology
OR
High School diploma or GED and two (2) additional years of practical experience, to include: laboratory testing, manufacturing, or maintenance
