Industrial Constructors/Managers, Inc. serves the manufacturing and process industries with safely executed industrial and commercial construction projects. Industries include mining and material processing, food and beverage, power generation, aerospace, pharmaceutical, transportation, engineering, and construction.

Industrial Constructors/Manager's, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to join our team.

Summary: Provides support in the planning and implementation of project safety, incident prevention and fire protection programs in compliance with corporate safety program standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Supports safety policy and procedure development in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

Assist and administer training for safety program support to include topics such as Confined Space Entry, LOTO, Fall Protection, Equipment Operation, First Aid / CPR to support program requirements.

Conduct regular (daily) job site and work area audits and inspections to identify and assist in correcting compliance violations.

Serve as a resource to support safety requirements for all company work sites.

Conduct work observations to identify unsafe acts or activities that have the potential to cause injury. Address identified unsafe acts by coaching and mentoring employees.

Conduct incident investigations for the identification of Root Cause and development of Corrective Actions to prevent re-occurrence.

Review documentation to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures, and implement appropriate corrective action as required.

Accompany all safety, health, and insurance inspectors on walk through tours.

Assure that all employees follow safe work practices and use company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.

Attend weekly meetings to brief the staff on safety issues at the worksite.

Perform additional assignments per Director’s direction.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

5 years construction and/or industrial safety experience. Or degree in safety related field.

Good understanding of Fire and Health/Safety Codes.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Computer Skills:

Proficient computer skills using common business and software applications.

Certificates and Licenses:

OSHA 500

CSP - Preferred
