Industrial Credit Union of Bellingham, WA is looking to hire a full-time Branch Manager to join our Operations Management team.

SUMMARY

Manage assigned branch, develop quality staff, monitors performance and workflow, delegate tasks and responsible for successfully achieving the branch goals established by management. Utilize management and leadership skills to make independent decisions, within granted authority, regarding all areas of the branch operation and member service.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain, update and implement a strong branch program of policies, procedures and practices based on mission, vision and values of the credit union to achieve branch goals, provide operational efficiency, control expense and maintain compliance.
  • Implement the delivery of sales strategies and department goals; motivate teller team to meet monthly goals; lead weekly coaching meeting with all staff.
  • Coach, develop and motivate staff in a sales culture to insure quality member service through professional communications, accurate transactions, and thorough product and service knowledge.
  • Work with other branch managers, department leaders and management to maintain standards and provide a positive work environment throughout the credit union.
  • Participate in all department activities as needed to insure a fully functioning department including all department tasks and reporting.
  • Monitor branch and credit union results through reports and analysis provided to management on a regular basis that may include daily, monthly, quarterly or annual preparation; to include recommendations for future activities or consideration.
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulations, policies and procedures regarding branch operations and credit union activities.
  • Represent the credit union in community functions and events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrate leadership by supporting the strategic plan, implementing the business plan, and participating in all activities that support the organizational and department goals as set by management, to include cooperation between branches and departments.
  • Communicate in a professional and courteous manner by actively listening to others and articulating clearly and effectively, in person, over the phone, via written correspondence and any other form of contact that may occur as a representative of the credit union, and mentor and leader within the organization.
  • Exercise independent judgement to oversee and manage branch operations utilizing the knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures; provide solutions to staff and the membership; develop and train others to find solutions, identify challenges and protects the assets of the credit union in an ever-changing environment.
  • Possess and maintain working knowledge of all federal, state and local rules and regulations regarding financial transactions and call center operations, to include those governing the processes and procedures. These include but are not limited to BSA, OFAC and CIP.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation through personal development and increased knowledge of products, services, transactions and other job functions.
  • Maintain a level of professionalism that instils trust, confidence, integrity and confidentiality of all matters involving the credit union and its members; demonstrate unquestionable honesty, reliability and flexibility in the workplace, setting an example for others to emulate

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to communicate verbally or in writing, articulating clearly and effectively
  • The ability to work independently to identify problems, find solutions and make suggestions to members, co-workers, leadership and management.
  • The ability to oversee, coach and lead departmental staff
  • The ability to organize department workflow, prioritize tasks and delegate processes to staff
  • The ability to multitask in a friendly, personable and helpful manner.
  • The ability to self-motivate personal development in all position functions.
  • The ability to learn and fully understand core systems and software provided to perform job tasks.
  • The ability to effectively and efficiently operate standard office tools and equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BA/BS degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations
  • Leadership and some knowledge of human resources management
  • Two years of supervisory experience
  • 5 years of banking and or financial institution experience

MANAGEMENT TEAM WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position works a typical schedule of Monday - Friday during business hours. However, occasional traveling and business demands may extend hours.
