RESPONSIBILITIES & OPPORTUNITIES
- Consult with customers to understand their needs, applications, and opportunities for improvements
- Recommend solutions, and demonstrate new technologies and product solutions
- Cultivate and prioritize strong customer and partner relationships
- Grow sales and generate new business
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and quotes to secure orders
- Maintain a high level of application and product expertise, as well as competency with complementary products
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TALENTS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (equivalent technical degree and/or experience will also be considered)
- Knowledge of Industrial Automation & Control Systems including PLC, RIO, HMI, SCADA & Industrial PCs (Siemens experience a plus)
- Knowledge of VFD & Motor Control (Siemens experience a plus)
- Knowledge of Industrial Networking (Understanding of Profinet & Profibus a plus)
- Knowledge of Industrial Instrumentation - Level, Pressure, Flow (not required, but a plus)
- Knowledge of Power Distribution Systems - LV/MV Switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), Panelboards, Switchboards (not required, but a plus)
- Passionate about serving customers and facilitating partnerships
- Effective listening, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to identify customer needs, present solutions and product recommendations, and close orders
- Ability to educate customers and provide product demonstrations
- Strong work ethic
- Frequent travel within the assigned area, which may include some overnight travel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
