This Electrical Contractor has a consistent & long-term backlog of Industrial Retrofit / Upgrade projects in the Greater Chicago Market, and is looking for career-driven individuals to join their team to support their continued growth into their current project load and desire to break into larger, new-build projects as well. POSITION TITLE: Industrial Electrical Foreman
POSITION SUMMARY: The Industrial Electrical Foreman is responsible for installation, maintenance, and field retrofit / upgrades of electrical systems and components in industrial applications and settings, as well as the responsibility for job / project / task oversight of both Electricians and Journeyman Electricians.

POSITION TITLE: Industrial Electrical Foreman
POSITION SUMMARY: The Industrial Electrical Foreman is responsible for installation, maintenance, and field retrofit / upgrades of electrical systems and components in industrial applications and settings, as well as the responsibility for job / project / task oversight of both Electricians and Journeyman Electricians.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Lead all start-of-day Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- File JSA with the project manager for approvals.
- Ordering materials and tools on responsible jobs.
- Receive materials as required.
- Create record of materials consumed.
- Follow clock-in / clock-out procedures.
- Plan, organize, and direct the work/training of the job crew employees daily.
- Self-directed and accountable to ensure crew work assignments are completed.
- Accountable for the quality of work conducted by themselves and crew.
- Ensure the job site is properly cleaned up at the end of each workday.
- Ensure compliance with all job safety standards established by the company.
- Attend coordination meetings as required and provide necessary information.
- Participate in weekly all-company safety meetings.
- Project review meetings, random site audits, and project close-out meeting participation.
- Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed.
- Bend and install rigid conduit.
- Set up and pull wire and cable.
- Terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable.
- Install switchgear, distribution equipment, and transformers.
- Install and troubleshoot AC and DC Drives.
- Single and Three Phase motors and motor control systems.
- Installation of conduits using a hand, mechanical, or hydraulic bender.
- Inspection of electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers.
- Use of testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.
- Use of hand and power tools.
- 3 years of experience as a Foreman on Electrical Construction projects in an industrial setting.
- Experience and competency to oversee projects up to $1M in Electrical Budget.
- Mastery knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Knowledge of 24-volt control circuitry and single-line diagrams.
- Must have knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards.
- Mastery knowledge of state and local regulations.
- Local licenses and certification preferred.
- Education through an accredited school preferred.
- Must be able to perform physical duties (Lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leaning for extended periods of time).
- Must be able to work in inclement weather (Hot, Cold) including working on high areas.
- Ability to support projects within a 50-mile radius of the Greater Chicagoland Area.
