As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Machining Lead to join our team and contribute to the success of our night shift operations.

Job Overview: As a Machining Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating machining activities during the night shift. You will be responsible for leading a team of machining professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of machinery, and maintaining quality standards in the production of pens.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Night Shift Machining Operations: Lead and supervise a team of machining technicians during the night shift, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to production schedules.
• Machine Setup and Maintenance: Oversee the setup, calibration, and maintenance of machining equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that all machined parts meet company standards and specifications.
• Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to machining team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote safety protocols to create a secure working environment for the night shift team.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with production planners to prioritize and schedule machining jobs based on production needs.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machining processes, collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of machining processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with quality control standards.
• Basic computer skills.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical certification or vocational training in machining is a plus.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
