Construction Project Manager
We are a fast-growing Austin, TX based real estate company looking for a Construction Project Manager who will oversee the planning and delivery of all construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project manager looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where everyone on the team contributes to the overall success of the firm.
The perfect candidate will meet the following requirements:
Requirements:
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to determine the specifications of the project.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors.
- Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budget.
- Plan all construction operations and schedule phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
- Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites.
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics, etc., and provide them with guidance when needed.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts.
- Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines.
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes.
Qualifications:
- 10 years’ experience.
- Experience in Masterplan and Multifamily communities.
- Previous experience at one of the big Homebuilders.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- BA in engineering, building science, or a relevant field.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
