Job Description
Provides direction and guidance in operating, maintaining, testing and repairing real property facilities and systems with emphasis on reliability and availability standards for all electrical utility systems.
Ensures rapid reporting of failures and supports restoration of utility services. Provides guidance for the maintenance, repair and improvements for all electrical emergency systems, power conditioning and electrical distribution systems.
Plans and designs smaller scale projects and works closely with Production Control Element and Electrician staff to ensure electrical system upgrades and projects comply with codes and installation requirements.
Manages the site energy conservation program in accordance with Space Force requirements. Serves as the contracting officer’s on-site representative for contracted construction projects to include on-site inspection and construction documentation. Assists in development of the sites Five-Year Plan and participates in the Facility Utilization Board as requested.
Develops project documentation packages for construction contracts and A&E design work. Prepares DD Form 1391 programming documentation for a variety of projects, not necessarily related to electrical engineering.
Coordinates project programming and requirements with the customer. Performs support duties during military exercises and real world contingencies. Tasks may include but are not limited to barrier placement, shelter management, damage assessment and aiding first responders. Participates in the quality program and practices proven safety procedures.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited university
Three Years work experience in maintenance of power production and power distribution systems
Two Years experience in an Air Force Civil Engineering organization
Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Ability to use Microsoft Office Package
Ability to obtain Government drivers license
Requires CompTIA Security CE Certification

Pay: $59.34 / hour
Physical Qualifications
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
