Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Social Worker to join our team. As a Medical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to patients and their families. Your expertise in diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, addiction counseling, and case management will be essential in helping patients navigate their healthcare journey. We are seeking someone that is interested in part time work at this time.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify psychosocial needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Assist patients in accessing community resources and support services
- Advocate for patients' rights and ensure their needs are met
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide emotional support to patients in distress
- Facilitate patient education on topics such as special education, cognitive behavioral therapy, and addiction prevention
- Coordinate discharge planning and make appropriate referrals for post-hospital care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and progress

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Medical Social Worker
- At least 1 year experience working with adults in a healthcare setting or in the home
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation techniques and treatment modalities
- Proficiency in conducting psychotherapy sessions using evidence-based practices
- Ability to provide case management services, including coordinating care with other healthcare professionals

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
