Infinite Electronics Inc., a global supplier of electronics components and subassemblies, is seeking to fill a Product Line Manager position. This position entails growing the existing business of the Fiber Optic product line, bringing it to the next level with the definition and execution of the strategic plan and new product roadmap. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of Fiber Optic products and their markets and applications.
Infinite Electronics’ brands include Pasternack, Fairview Microwave, L-Com Global Connectivity, MilesTek, Aiconics, KP Performance Antennas, Polyphaser, Transtector, RadioWaves, Integra Optics and Show Me Cables, and NavePoint.
This is the opportunity for an ambitious and seasoned Product Line Manager to drive the growth of the entire Fiber Optic business and have an immediate impact. The successful candidate is intellectually agile and jumps from detailed financial analysis to high level strategic plans, tactical new products execution, team priority settings and collaboration with suppliers, customers, and internal functions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- The position reports to the Director of Product Line Management, is responsible for the assigned product line.
- In charge of all aspects of product strategy, planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including definition of the products offering, negotiation with product suppliers, new products launch and pricing.
- Develop, manage, and own product strategy, products, technology, and roadmaps.
- Identify, manage, and grow suppliers of Fiber Optic products to achieve revenue growth objectives.
- Proactively drive new high-intensity products release pipeline.
- Enhance profitability through close collaboration with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Develop, implement, and monitor pricing strategies.
- Create business cases and PRDs, assess market size, competitors, and their share, formulate product benefits.
- Identify market needs and trends through interaction with customers and suppliers, analyze and monitor publicly known information, and attend industry events and trade shows.
- Work with sales in developing strategies to successfully win opportunities.
- Build relationships with suppliers, internal sales teams, and customers
- Develop technical collateral in close collaboration with engineering and marketing.
- Provide product expertise and training to other departments, distributors, and customers.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 15 years of working experience in Product Management, with previous roles in Business Development, Sales, or Application Engineering for Fiber Optics products, sold in a multitude of markets and applications.
- Established relations with all key players in the Fiber Optics industry.
- Strong technical expertise and in-depth understanding of the Fiber Optics industry landscape, dynamics, value chain, pricing structures, technology and product trends related to the product line.
- Documented success with the development and execution of new product strategies and roadmaps.
- Proven ability to create and present complex business cases to internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated history of commercial success with existing business and new product introduction.
- Regular practice of financial models, market-based pricing, and stage gate process.
- MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency.
Preferred Requirements
- High level of comfort with online marketing and ecommerce.
- Experience in private labelling of B-to-B products.
- Database management tools proficiency.
- Negotiation of supplier agreement.
- Exposure to availability model.
