We are actively searching for a dynamic Production Supervisor to join their sawmills division in Ashland, Maine.

As a key player reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor plays a pivotal role in steering on-site employee performance towards the attainment of company objectives, spanning safety, productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and efficiency. By providing transparent communication, effective coaching, and addressing employee concerns, the Production Supervisor cultivates a culture of teamwork, accountability, and strong engagement. Collaborating with your team, your responsibilities include motivating and enhancing their capabilities through performance management, training, and development.
Key Qualifications:
Education / Experience:
- Relevant Trade Certification or Associate’s Degree, or a combination of education and 3 years of supervisor experience preferred.
Skills:
- Strong People Management skills.
- Mechanical Knowledge is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards is an asset.
- Prioritization skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team environments.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to top performance in a safe work environment.
- Availability for flexible working hours, including day and night shifts.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, support, and direction to a production team of 16-20 employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, engagement, and environmental standards.
- Monitor productivity throughout the shift, making necessary adjustments to meet production targets efficiently.
- Conduct training and development for team members.
- Support continuous improvement efforts, lead problem-solving sessions, and coach problem resolution.
- Handle administrative tasks such as personnel scheduling, weekly payroll submission, and daily reporting.What You'll Receive:
