Civil/Concrete Technician

Infinity Construction Solutions is seeking a talented talented 1099 contract Civil/Construction Technician to provide support in of digging foundations for commercial construction sites, setting and stripping forms for concrete placement sites.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set and strip forms for concrete placement
• Operate small equipment (mini excavator, skid loader)
• May Supervise and coordinate the work of a crew
• Coordinate with sub-contractors activities including but not limited to construction activities, electrical wiring, paving, etc.
• Work safely and professionally at all times
• Has knowledge of telecom tower elements as related to the project
• Assist in scheduling and managing rental equipment to include calling off equipment
• Takes instruction from Foreman and implements directions as needed
• Responsible for insuring prompt completion of jobs in a quality and safe manner.
• Requires a thorough knowledge of wireless site construction standards and practices.
• Must display good judgment, ambition, good work ethic, positive attitude, reliability and a team mentality

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

• At least 3 years working in concrete / construction industry
• Experience operating small equipment (mini excavator, skid loader)
• Knows basic hand tools is a plus
• Current Safety certifications (OSHA, First Aid/CPR)
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite)

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Ability to tie rebar for concrete reinforcement
• Ability to form, pour and finish concrete pads a must.
• Ability to set and install anchor bolts and form and pour tower foundations is a plus
• Able to travel up to 3 weeks at a time
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings
• Ability to deal with problems that arise with crew and project
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work designated schedule, as well as maintain attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driver's license; able to meet Infinity's Safe Driving Requirements.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
• Able to work in outdoor environment exposed to varying high or low temperatures.
• Must have sufficient physical agility to walk, climb, stand, crawl, and stretch on a continuing basis.
• Able to travel 90% of the time
