Position - Material Handler
Location - 61 Medford St, Somerville, MA 02143
Duration - 12 months (With Possible Extension)
Pay Rate - $30.00/hr on W2 Without Benefits
Shift : 2nd Shift: 2pm-10:30pm
Job Summary:
Materials Handler is required to perform and document daily warehouse operations in a cGMP environment. Have a high level of detail, good documentation practices, ability to follow procedures as written, and train/mentor junior associates. Through cross training and flexible workforce become a subject matter expert in one or more functions within Somerville Warehouse Operations. These areas may include, but are not limited to Shipping and Receiving, GMP Raw Materials, Inventory Control, and Cell Bank Storage.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Following cGMP procedures, retrieving documents from the document management system, completing cGMP documents using good documentation practices. Attention to detail when performing and verifying daily activities.
- Proficient in the use of the inventory management system (SAP) and execute real time transactions such as material location transfers, inventory reporting, order shipping confirmations and inventory reconciliations.
- Must work effectively with cross functional departments to complete investigations if necessary.
- Possible job functions are, but not limited to: Shipping and Receiving, GMP Raw Materials, Inventory Control, order picking and Cell Bank Storage.
- Ability to safely operate all motorized equipment including; forklift truck, electric pallet jacks, lifts, and company vehicles.
- Always use PPE when necessary and ensure proper safety practices are in use when performing a task
- Ability to be respond as an on-call person
- Other duties as assigned as business needs dictate

- This role is responsible for ensuring material readiness supporting manufacturing.
What will you do?
- This role is a key member of the program teams, representing Supply Chain. This individual drives material readiness, communicates with key stakeholders and drives process efficiencies.
How will you get here?
- This individual will work with the Supply Chain Planning Team and Logistics team to understand material requirements for manufacturing.
- This is a 2nd Shift position
Education
- High School Education or equivalent
Experience
- Experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle
- Experience working in a cGMP environment desirable
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to use a computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift 40lbs
- Ability to work in multiple temperature environments
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
