Job Description:
Travel Pharmacist
Location: Tucson, AZ
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: (Day) 10.00hr
Weekly Gross: $2,900- $3,000/ week.
Responsibilities:
- Medication Management: Oversee all aspects of medication management within the hospital, including dispensing, compounding, and monitoring medication therapy.
- Patient Care: Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal medication therapy for patients, considering factors such as drug interactions, allergies, and patient-specific conditions.
- Medication Review: Conduct medication reviews to assess appropriateness, efficacy, and safety of prescribed medications, and make recommendations for therapy optimization as needed.
- Medication Reconciliation: Perform medication reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and complete medication histories for patients upon admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Clinical Consultation: Provide clinical pharmacy services, including drug information, dosage adjustments, and therapeutic monitoring, to support healthcare providers in making evidence-based treatment decisions.
- Antimicrobial Stewardship: Participate in antimicrobial stewardship programs to optimize antibiotic use, prevent antimicrobial resistance, and minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- Pharmacy Operations: Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, procurement, and quality assurance processes, to ensure efficient and effective medication distribution and storage.
