Role Description:
The Purchasing & Shipping/Receiving specialist will support a fast-paced technology team with managing PO placement, critical shipments, and receiving of materials. This individual will work closely with the Logistics and Customs Clearance teams to ensure timely delivery of both domestic and international shipments. In addition, the Purchasing Specialist will be expected to maintain an up-to-date inventory of key materials to ensure there are no program delays due to missing materials.
Key Responsibilities:
As a purchasing & shipping/receiving specialist you will:
Be trained in the PO system(s) and place POs to support program deliverables.
Manage logistics requests and monitor critical shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Work with the process teams to create an inventory list of key materials and maintain current inventory to avoid material shortages.
Qualifications / Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of experience with inventory management, purchasing, and/or logistics.
Eligibility Requirements:
Must have and maintain a valid driver s license.
Strong computer skills.
Proficiency with MS Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules per site needs.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience with inventory management in a production environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Contract length: 12 months
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $11.00 - $28.00 per hour
