About the job
The Receptionist will provide direct support to a federal client in support of their attorneys office.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Litigation Assistance by independently requesting financial statements and records, drafting discovery request, filing government liens on real and personal property, drafting motions, applications, proposed orders, and compiling witness and exhibit lists
- Examine, prepare, and process a variety of technical legal and financial documents. Review incoming material and determine the need for assembly and preparation of legal documents
- Review financial information and records of defendants
- Compose original letters – require good working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology
- Coordinate with victim/witness specialists
- Verify citations and statutory references
- Prepare electronic files
