Six years of experience in public relations, social media, and digital communications.

An associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Information Science, Social Media, Digital Communications, or similar degree, can substitute for the experience on a year for year basis, with 30 credits equaling one year of experience.

Duties Description
This position will administer a language translation management system within the Chief Technology Office in the Innovation & Engineering bureau in User Experience Design. The incumbent will coordinate the translation and technical integration process for website and web application translation.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create translation workflows between websites/applications and translators

  • Coordinate automatic website translation/mirroring configuration

  • Coordinate web application translation

  • Design user experience of language and translation user interfaces

  • Advise projects on language translation integration options and best practices
Additional Comments
This position is being filled temporary while it is pending approval of the jurisdictional classification to non-competitive. Once that occurs, the successful candidate will be appointed permanently.

All Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) employees are required to provide proof of vaccination status through a secure online portal, if vaccinated.
