Purpose Statement
The job of IT Student Information and State Reporting Lead is done for the purpose/s of supporting the educational process with specific responsibilities for organizing, implementing, and validating all student information and state reporting through a complete data life cycle; and providing technical support to the district in that regard.
This job reports to the Director of Information Technology or Designee
Essential Functions
Assists personnel with the support of all information technology tasks and projects as assigned for the purpose of resolving issues and/or making recommendations.
Conducts the implementation and maintenance of student information collection and reporting for the purpose of ensuring availability, integrity, validity, and security of services to authorized users.
Stay current and share relevant laws, regulations, compliance, and practices regarding student information and state reporting.
Prepares written materials, and other media, for the purpose of documenting activities, providing references and/or conveying information.
Responds to inquiries from a variety of sources (e.g. staff, administrators, school site personnel, outside vendors, and other government agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing technical assistance and support.
Takes the principle role and/or serves on a team with other personnel throughout the district for the purpose of embracing technical and logistical directions from/to a colleague, conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
Other Functions
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment and system malfunctions.
KNOWLEDGE is required to perform algebra and/or accounting; read technical information, compose a variety of documents, and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include enterprise technologies such as network systems, databases, communication protocols, software, etc. along with concepts of grammar and punctuation.
ABILITY is required to schedule activities and/or meetings; gather and/or collate data, and consider a number of factors when using technologies. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined and similar processes, and utilize equipment under a variety of conditions for multiple purposes. Ability is also required to work with a wide diversity of individuals; work with similar types of data, and utilize a variety of types of job-related equipment. Problem-solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem-solving with data may require independent interpretation, and problem-solving is moderate to significant. Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision following standardized practices and/or methods; leading, guiding, and/or coordinating others; utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the job's functions. Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: slight lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, workstation, and desk/table work. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 20% walking, and standing. The job is generally performed under office-based temperatures and in a generally hazard-free environment.
Experience: Job-related experience with student information systems and Arizona reporting.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
