Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and medical history
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform specialized procedures such as spinal taps and specimen collection processing
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient status
- Assist with acute pain management and provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Document patient information accurately in medical records
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in MO or Compact
- Minimum 1.5 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the ICU
- Proficiency in providing care for patients with infectious diseases
- Knowledge of trauma medicine and acute care interventions
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
