What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician position at InfoServ LLC?
Looking for an Engineering Technician for its Autonomous Vehicle teams. As an engineering technician of our team you will be working under the supervision of senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining hardware system to drive the car, given various sensor input devices including Cameras, LIDAR, RADAR, GPS, IMU and others on Vehicle CAN. You will work with different teams, including electrical/mechanical/thermal engineering, software engineering, and QA to transform the information into driving the car with the best experience. You will help build, test, and maintain the system and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. You are expected to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Previous hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and updating autonomous vehicle hardware is a requirement. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued.
What you’ll be doing:
Build, prototype, and test autonomous development systems
Integrate systems into vehicle platform and debug/maintain them
What we need to see:
3-5 years of hands-on proven experience in electrical/electronic and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas
Must possess a good technical problem-solving ability and mechanical mindset
Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Excellent Communication skills (written and verbal). Working knowledge / Experience using Microsoft Office
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Excellent problem-solving skills for on the spot resolution to customer concerns is needed. Basic computer, customer service, problem solving and excellent communication skills required
Building Harness cables and documenting their construction. Documenting the installation procedures of cable harness installation and other Automotive Systems
Must be excellent in trouble shooting and problem solving of Automotive Electronics installations
Background in electronic components, automotive industry, and equipment
Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high quality performance
A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
ASE or MECP certification preferred
Current valid driver's license and good driving record
Familiarity with IT infrastructure
Must be able to Travel - US and Internationally
