Repair Technician

Job Title: Repair - finisher
Pay Rate: $17/Hr.
Duration: 07 Months
Location: Fort Madison, IA

Shift: 1 - 6 am - 2:30 pm

Note: Must pass a background check and drug test with minimum education qualification of High School Diploma

This position is for the Power/ Energy division.

Description

Primary Function

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections and record all required data.
• Interpret results of visual and dimensional inspections and recommend appropriate action in accordance with referenced repair specifications, and accepted industry and shop practices.
• Document and test the required inspection of components.
• Perform required process control actions to ensure equipment and materials meet minimum requirements prior to inspections.

Pre-Requisite Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Auto body repair or grinding with power tools experience.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with fiberglass & resin repair.
• Ability to work in a protective suit, mask, respirator, and gloves.

Working Procedures

• Receive and perform work assignments, oral and/or written and follow work instructions.
• Accurately report findings of inspections to operations, supervisor, etc.
• Document finish and repair tasks as required.
• Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of repair equipment to finish, inspect, and evaluate parts per accepted industry standards.
• Perform inspections as required.
• Work with or under the direction of managers or engineers.
• Follow all applicable specifications and procedures regarding the performance of shop operations.
• Use all required safety equipment and follow established safety procedures.
• Provide technical direction and training to other employees as required.
• Keep work areas in clean and orderly condition.
• Support and apply team concepts in daily activities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $17.00 per hour
