Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP S4HANA ABAP Enterprise Applications Consultant
As a Principal Enterprise Consultant, you will be contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Basic Qualifications for Principal SAP S4HANA ABAP Enterprise Applications Consultant
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.
- The position is based in Jersey City, NJ. Candidates should be local to the area or willing to travel weekly to project locations.

Preferred Qualification for Principal SAP S4HANA ABAP Enterprise Applications Consultant
- At least 11 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes in SAP with atleast 2 end to end S/4 HANA implementation in a Solution Architect role
- Experience in building SAP high level application roadmaps (SAP, non-SAP).
- Well versed with development standards in SAP S/4HANA
- Deep ABAP development experience including ABAP on HANA & ABAP OO development.
- Strong understanding of Web / Enterprise Services including ABAP Proxy and SAP API Expert
- CRUD OData Development with SAP Gateway and CDS
- IDOC enhancement and ALE/IDOC Responsibility
- Exposure around any of the front-end technologies like SAP FIORI or WebDynpro will be an added advantage.
- Expertise in enhancing standard SAP functionality leveraging standard enhancements framework – User exists, Business Transaction Events (BTE), Business Add Ins (BADI), Enhancement Spots (Implicit & Explicit).
- SAP In app extensibility and SAP Side by Side extensibility using BTP.
- Form Development experience in SAP-Script, Smart-forms and Interactive Adobe Forms.
- Experience in developing data migration programs
- Good understanding of S/4HANA Application and database.
- Experience in code optimization, performance tuning and runtime analysis in accordance with HANA Optimization techniques
- Expertise in using Code Inspector, Single Transaction Analysis, SQL Performance Trace, Runtime Analysis tools
- Excellent problem solving, persuasion, negotiation skills
- Experience in leading teams
- Experience with SAP Activate Methodology
- SAP S/4HANA product certifications are a plus.
- Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
- Good Planning, Estimation and Co-ordination skills.
- Expertise in handling interfaces with various systems (both internal and external to the organization)
- Exposure of handling IDocs (EDI), background job, SAP system life cycle, testing
- Expertise in handling requirements from different customs offices around the world
- Hands-on experience in planning and facilitating blueprint workshops.
- Experience with SAP Activate Methodology
- Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
- Good Analytical and Communication skills
- Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
- Experience in leading global teams
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
