Position Summary
The Documentation File Clerk performs a variety of filing, scanning and document coordination duties to maintain and ensure the integrity of the Rhodes department's centralized and archived records. The role may also provide administrative support such as answering and directing phone calls and assisting with visitors.
Essential Functions
Assist with on-site file projects.
Assemble, organize, review, and analyze records for return, transfer, destruction or preservation consistent with organization's record retention policies and guidelines.
Retrieves files and transports files to and from centralized file room and individual workstations/offices as requested.
Coordinate updates to recordkeeping systems reflecting changes in disposition, e.g., returned, transferred or destroyed.
Responsible for loose filing for the Rhodes site.
Assists with preparation to remove on-site files to off-site storage facility or worksite including boxing, sorting, filing, and labeling.
Answering and directing phone calls and assisting with visitors, as needed.
Requirements
Performs other duties as requested or required.
Prior experience office filing in a high-volume environment.
