CNC Vertical Turning Center / Vertical Turning Lathe
CNC Lathe Machinist
- Operate and maintain a CNC Vertical Lathe / VTL / Vertical Turret Lathe to produce precision parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Set up machine by installing and adjusting tooling, fixtures, and workpieces
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output
- Conduct regular inspections of parts to ensure adherence to specifications
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines to keep them in optimal condition
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
- Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines is required
- Strong knowledge of machining and cutting tools
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with tooling and hand tools used in machining operations
- Experience with Mastercam or similar CAM software is a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality control standards
