General Description: This position is vital to the creation and maintenance of hydraulic performance documentation as well as designing, sizing, selecting components, and writing specifications of hydraulic systems. Performs engineering department assignments that require fundamental knowledge of hydraulic engineering theory, concepts and experience.

Performs engineering department assignments that require fundamental knowledge of hydraulic engineering theory, concepts and experience.
Essential Duties
- Creation and maintenance of hydraulic performance documentation.
- Design, size, select components, and write specifications for hydraulic systems.
- Performs work to design, draw, interpret hydraulic systems, and schematics.
- Evaluate hydraulic components in an efficient manner and troubleshoots potential issues.
- Develop testing protocols and conduct physical testing to evaluate hydraulic system designs.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
- Associate Degree, Technical Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree.
- International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) Certification preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience with hydraulic design experience preferred.
- Strong academic background involving mechanical and hydraulic disciplines. Mechanical applications skills are required.
- CAD skills with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D modeling tools.
- Integration skills for electronics, electro-hydraulic, hydraulic and mechanical components are required.
- System analysis skills, including decision, cost, safety, reliability, and maintainability, are required.
- Communicates effectively with other workers to direct workflow.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics including and understanding of pumps, valves, cylinders and plumbing of components.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills related to technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills needed for dealing with all levels of internal and external organizations.
- A high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation is required.
- Experience: 1 year preferred using hand and power tools.
