- Operate survey instruments and equipment for a wide and diverse range of projects such as, topographic, ALTA, boundary, construction, etc.
- Locates and determines land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours; contributing information to and from software and hardware used by B&W Survey Department
- Assists the party chief and field crew with recording surveys by preparing notes, records, drawings and applicable field equipment/hardware and software systems
- Completes projects in a timely, efficient and effective manner within deadlines and budgets.
- Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments

- Minimum of a High School diploma. Associate's Degree in Land Surveying or related curriculum preferred.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more (including opening manholes of various sizes and shapes).
- Must be able to walk and stand for an entire day, if needed.
- CST (Certified Survey Technician I-IV) accreditation is a plus
- AutoCAD Civil 3d and/or MicroStation experience is a plus
- Illinois or Wisconsin Driver's License
- Ability to travel throughout northeast Illinois and southeast Wisconsin areas
- Strong math, written, verbal, and organizational skills
