Job Description:

As a Data Integration Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing integrations between software platforms, programs, and applications. You will be working closely with analysts and business users to convert specifications into technical designs. Your duties will include studying data sources and data models, planning data solutions, delivering data integrations, setting mediated schemas through databases, and mentoring coworkers to follow procedures and answer technical questions.

Responsibilities:

  • Devising and reporting on integration development plans and strategies.
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Hands on design, development, deployment, and maintenance of integration processes between applications across cloud and/or on-premises using Boomi platform (Cloud Integration, Application Integration and Enterprise web services APIs.
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Boomi MDH, and Azure technologies.
  • System Integration & Optimization: Ensure smooth integration of systems with other core organizational tools, emphasizing data consistency and process automation.
  • Formulating strategies and designing architectures for systems integrations.
  • Ensuring that best practices in integration processes are followed by the organization.
  • Maintain and optimize existing ETL and integration jobs to ensure seamless data transfer.
  • Checking and correcting conflicts in data configurations and overlaps.
  • Drive organization to improve data integrity for company-wide analytics.
  • Maintaining the integrity and smooth functioning of the company’s integration architecture.
  • Analyzing and improving current system integrations and migration strategies.
  • Work closely with the team to understand, analyze, and normalize the data and make available for visualization.
  • Identifying, debugging, and advising on system errors or architecture issues.
  • Assisting with the management of organizational databases and retrieval systems.
  • Streamline and improve data connections for Power BI, including but not limited to, shared databases and data models on SQL databases.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in the field of data integrations, database management, ETL/ELT processes, and use of APIs.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
  • Utilize development best practices including technical design reviews, implementing test plans, monitoring/alerting, peer code reviews, and documentation.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation for data transformation procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation of integration processes, configurations, and workflows.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Boomi platform updates and integration best practices.
  • Test data transformation processes for accuracy given various expected and unexpected inputs and quality of data across all data sources.
  • Designing and implementing data model changes that align with warehouse standards.
  • Support project by training team on use of solutions.
  • Ability to pick up additional skills quickly.
  • Work independently with technical and business stakeholders to understand business requirements, perform due diligence, and recommend appropriate solution design.
  • Develop, test, and deploy the integrations to production.
  • Problem analysis and resolution of issues identified during testing phase (or post deployment)
  • Solution design proposal/review for integration needs of upcoming new projects.
  • Perform effort estimations for new integration development and analyze user enhancement requests to include identifying potential problem areas and recommend optimum solution approaches.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of two or more programming languages (C#, C , Java, Python, or others).
  • Superior programming skills that relate to code development, maintenance, and implementation.
  • Experience integrating external APIs and leveraging related protocols (e.g., https, oauth, jwt, webhooks)
  • Meticulous knowledge of APIs, integrations, development processes, and integration architectures.
  • Proficient with SQL; experienced with advanced queries, schema design, functions, indexes, partitioning.
  • Interpersonal skills along with the ability to work in a team.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and M formula language.
  • Experienced in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Experience with file parsing (CSV, XML, XSLT, JSON, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Master Data Management within an enterprise.
  • Detail-oriented with strong code debugging skills.
  • Independent thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective presentation and report-writing skills.
  • Familiarity with Incorta platform, HCSS, Spectrum ERP, Verizon connect, and utility construction industry preferred.
