The highest levels of government, corporate, and non-profit organizations engage our firm to perform discreet, effective threat mitigation, and vulnerability remediation.Job DescriptionIngalls Information Security is looking for a Risk Management Consultant who is self-motivated, and can work both independently and in a close team environment.The Consultant is responsible for performing information systems security and assurance audits of networks, systems, applications, platforms, databases, and operating procedures in accordance with established auditing standards, thus determining the effectiveness of the information systems and security controls to properly secure and safeguard Information Technology infrastructure and information assets. The Consultant shall also participate in vulnerability and risk assessment reviews and evaluations of the client’s IT infrastructure to determine the adequacy of the controls to detect and prevent unauthorized activities and provide an acceptable level of risk to the organization and establishes controls to mitigate loss. The Consultant should be familiar with information pertaining to Federal laws, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) information technology concepts, practices, standards, and procedures; industry best practices; and audit frameworks such as COSO and COBIT.The following are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to lead in this role.Duties and Responsibilities:• Prepares work papers and supporting documentation• Audit project planning and fieldwork• Assist in performing test procedures• Prepare risk assessments on auditable entities and projects• Communicate audit results to management • Analyze conditions and offer recommendations on best practice• Follow-up on strategic and planned corrective action(s)• Establish and maintain strong client relationshipsQualifications• Bachelor’s Degree –business, accounting, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline preferred• Experience working as an IT Auditor or Cybersecurity Consultant • Basic to advanced understanding in the areas of information systems audit, internal control reviews, general and application control reviews, networking and Information Security• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlinesOther Requirements:• Excellent written and verbal communications skills• Team player with strong interpersonal communication• Self-starter with a strong work ethic• Able to perform work which requires attention to detail, analytical ability, and organization• Skilled at using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Visio• Must be willing and able to travel domestically • Able to furnish a writing sample and transcripts upon request • Strong attention to detailAdditional InformationA resident of Louisiana is strongly preferred.  Main offices are located in Woodworth, LA and Bossier City, LA. This position can be remote and regionally based depending on market and opportunities.
