GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE

The slotting technician is reponsible for inventory location, assist in handling company's inventory for smooth operation and efficiency in the warehouse. Work under minimum supervision, slots new material, by sub-transferring of material, readjusting the locator dims by physically and systematically, capturing items information and entering into Oracle. In addition, they run reports in the absents of a lead that give them their daily replenishment task, ensure slots are full, and break allocations to ensure pickers are picking from safe heights. Works the crate hold report to ensure hoist required daily demand is completed

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSTIION

• Moves parts or finished product
• Replenishes Prime locators
• Breaks allocations to ensure the picks are safe for picking
• Calculates Max Stacks and enters Item information
• Operates various material handling equipment such as forklifts, order pickers
• Enters items specs and zone codes
• Tracks and corrects allocations outside of the prime to ensure safe picking practices are followed
• Reports and corrects storing errors in slotted zones
• Ensures work areas and other designated work areas are maintained in a safe and neat manner.
• Assists with the training and instruction of new employees who may be assigned to this area.
• Hoist certified
• Crate, Store and Slot daily customer demand for hoist required items (cooler cell)
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
• Provide guidance while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
• Stocking and arranging of product to ensure warehouse turns of inventory
• Maintain cleaniness (5S) of the work area daily

• This role will have lift limit - 40lbs for an indivual and up to 80lbs for a team lift
• Communication skills via email (Outlook)

• Systems -related activities experience with Oracle, WMS, Databases and SharePoing preferred

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED) and/or equivalent work experience
• Previous Material Handling experience (cherry/reach lift experience preferred)
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to follow through on commitments and details.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill.
• Proven team player.
