Here’s how you will impact Ingevity:

The IT Support Specialist provides the opportunity to work with a leading global manufacturer of specialty chemicals and performance carbon materials. This role will have the opportunity for meaningful contributions to multiple IT department’s objectives while also gaining exposure to multiple areas of IT. The primary focus of this role will be on the support and administration of our ITSM tool and providing assistance with governance activities in areas of change enablement, portfolio management and continuous improvement. This position will be based at Ingevity’s headquarters in North Charleston, SC.

• Key responsibilities will vary based on the department you work within and can include:

• ITSM Tool administration

  • Development and maintenance of dashboards, integrations, workflows and service applications

  • Continuous improvement initiatives focused on user experience and functional enhancements

  • Managing/Publishing metrics and KPI’s

• Researching new technologies/opportunities, creating proof of concepts, implementing projects and measuring/reporting results

• Support Corporate IT Governance and Enterprise Applications personnel to review and improve processes, ensuring that global operations run effectively and are meeting the global business needs of Ingevity

• Work with IT Security, IT Enterprise Applications, IT Infrastructure, and IT Data Governance teams in areas such as testing and process documentation/improvements

Here is what you’ll need to succeed in this role:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of degree 3 -5 years’ experience in IT environment

• Drive to research new technologies

• Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail

• Ability to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment

• Hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset

• Proficiency in Microsoft 0365

• User experience within an ITSM tool is required, integration experience preferred

• Basic SQL and HTML knowledge required, 2 years of experience preferred

• ITIL 4 foundations certification preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional organizational skills

• This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

• The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US

• This role is based in our Charleston, SC headquarter office. However, given a candidate’s background this role may have the flexibility to be remote with up to a 25% travel requirement.
