Deli Associate

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. As a Deli Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our deli department. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items - Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times - Assist customers in selecting deli items and provide recommendations based on their preferences - Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations - Receive and stock inventory, ensuring proper rotation of products - Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency in food quality - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints Skills: - Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management - Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner - Knowledge of the food industry and food safety regulations - Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred - Strong attention to detail for accurate food preparation and portioning - Culinary skills for creating delicious deli items - Sales skills to promote specials or new products to customers - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude - Previous experience in food service or kitchen operations is a plus Join our team as a Deli Associate and be part of an exciting environment where you can showcase your culinary skills while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
