WEEKEND shift
Home Health Aides positions open to join our team PRN or on call basis. If you are compassionate, caring, and want to work with older adults while having a flexible schedule; then you should join our team! We have WEEKEND shifts available throughout the day, evening, and overnight You can work as little as 2 hours a day or up to 12-hour shifts - we work around you!
We want our Home Health Aides to provide quality customized care and excellent customer service to our clients as you work with them on their daily activities. Ingleside at Home is a premier provider of home support services. We are located near Rock Creek Park in DC; with nearby bus stops that major bus lines serve as well as the Metro. The duties of this position may include:
- Aiding clients in activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assisting residents during meals, ensuring they are receiving the prescribed diet.
- Reporting any abnormalities or changes to the nurse.
- Encouraging clients to remain as independent as possible in a safe environment.
- Engaging clients in restorative care exercise and activities.
- Assisting clients in relearning or adapting to new methods as part of their restorative program.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years old with a High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
- At least one (1) year personal care giving, companion, homemaking, residential cleaning and/or laundry services; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have successfully completed a District of Columbia approved home health aide (HHA) training.
- An active/current certification and registration with the state Dept. of Health.
- Must have a mastery of the English language in both written and oral form.
- Willing and able to drive to and from client homes.
