What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Projects Editor (Remote) position at Inland Empire Health Plans?
Position Summary/Position
The Special Projects Editor will report to the Chief Communications and Marketing Officer to strategize, develop, and execute brand projects across a variety of platforms. They will act as an editorial liaison between departments, provide copyediting oversight for all written material, work alongside marketing staff to assist in new initiatives, and oversee major editorial projects. Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)
1. Provide copyediting and quality assurance for marketing department, including overseeing copy for internal and external audiences.
2. Collaborate with writing team on story development and editing.
3. Assist in infusing IEHP’s Mission, Vision and Values throughout internal and external communications pieces.
4. Promote a consistent brand voice across all channels.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of editorial guidelines.
6. Provide project management for high-level marketing initiatives.
7. Foster a culture of creativity and continuous growth by organizing workshops and professional development opportunities for staff writers.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in copyediting, project management, editing and senior writing. Preferred Experience Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related degree from an accredited institution required.
Significant experience may be considered in lieu of degree: In lieu of a degree, a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant work experience is required. Preferred Education Professional Certification Professional Licenses Drivers License Required Yes, must have a valid California Driver's License. Knowledge Requirement
Understand the IEHP brand and how to weave brand elements in storytelling. Expert knowledge of writing, copyediting, AP Style, interviewing and journalistic principles. Understanding of and sensitivity to a multi-cultural environment and community. Skills Requirement
Skillful and creative storyteller who can bring a vision to life. Writing, editing and project management skills required. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communicator. The Special Projects Editor will be skilled at editing and overseeing a variety of writing styles while assuring IEHP’s brand resonates with our target audiences. Experienced and skilled in editing across a wide range of writing styles. A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Well-versed in reaching audiences in innovative ways.
