THE OPPORTUNITY
The Pricing Analyst plays a key role in the administration and management of the parts pricing database. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for the daily administration of the parts pricing database, providing regular reporting on price analysis and market pricing trends, and administering the daily, monthly and annual pricing business processes.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs administrative maintenance and reporting for Inland parts pricing database
- Understands parts pricing structures and accurately maintains parts pricing database
- Ensures market information provided by sales and parts managers is regularly updated and maintained in the parts pricing database
- Generates weekly, monthly, and annual reporting using CDK, Excel, SQL Server and Power BI
- Performs ad hoc reporting in support of price analysis and historical pricing data
- Provides administrative support to the Parts Sales Support team by monitoring the department email box, and responding to requests from internal and external customers
- Provides administrative management of customer loyalty awards programs
- Responds to administrative requests such as providing access to internal and external users for various parts systems
- Reviews bi-monthly flyers, and ensures pricing specials are updated in the pricing database
- Utilizes the Dealer Business System (CDK) and other price auditing tools to evaluate the parts pricing landscape
- Maintains knowledge of pricing actions and milestones and provides reports as needed
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of price administration workflow, updates and distribute changes, and manages multiple workflows across systems to ensure updates are completed efficiently
- Implements tools and other means to effectively communicate market trends and their impacts on pricing
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- A Bachelor's Degree in a field such as Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in management of pricing systems
- Industry experience, with a general understanding of heavy-duty trucks, truck dealers, suppliers and fleets preferred
- Existing knowledge of pricing strategies and products
- Strong database background in MS Access, MS Excel, SQL Server, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and data administrative skills
- Proven organizational and documentation skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
- Self-starter and enthusiastic team player
- Functions well with large volume and fast-paced work environment
- Must be able to operate a keyboard and other common office equipment
