Process Planner

Job Title: Process Planner

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Engineering Manager

ROLE:

You will use our ERP system, JobBOSS, to create the jobs our shop will use to fab parts. Most of the routing is imported from our estimating module but many times the routing needs modification. If Engineering wants to fab the parts differently than what was assumed on the quote, if the customer submits an engineering change order (ECO), if the floor wants certain parts through certain work centers, they’ll be coming to you. Your understanding of job shops, ability to follow processes, and attention to detail will all be instrumental in your success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work within our ERP to create error-free travelers
• Modify travelers due to customer driven ECOs, shop driven ECRs (engineering change requests), or quality driven reworks/remakes
• Work within our quality management system, Unipoint, to complete workflows and tasks
• As with all that work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3 years’ experience in same or similar role
• Deep understanding of the job shop sheet metal manufacturing world
• JobBOSS proficiency
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering level drawings
• Strong communication skills. Attention to details (no mistakes please!). No politicians and no shitty attitudes.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
