Description
Inline Filling Systems designs and manufactures world class, application specific, liquid filling machinery for almost all major industries.
Filling & Depositing Line Assembly, Set-up and Testing. Assembler/Test Technician builds machinery from prints and verbal instruction to customer specifications. They work with Engineering to make sure the line meets design and performance specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow instructions for proper machine assembly
Work with the team for testing of the components and packaging line
Collaborate with Engineering and Management to solve problems, make machinery improvements and assist with Sales and Marketing efforts
Evaluate and report status on machinery for parts, service and safety requirements
Inspect consumable materials (bottles, caps, closures, labels, etc.) and submit reports as needed for quality issues affecting equipment efficiency
Provide assistance in machinery documentation development and improvement
Complete summary reports (Machinery Acceptance, Defect Tracking and Machinery Set-up Sheets) for accurate, timely information on the project
Wear appropriate uniform, maintain professional appearance, conduct, attitude and positively promote IFS business activities to all customers and team members
Work independently under limited supervision (self-management) to accomplish IFS goals while following all IFS policies, practices and procedures
Be a resource to all other team members for assistance, coaching and training.
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
Experience with packaging/high speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.).
Experience with pneumatics/compressed air (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.).
Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings, etc.)
Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/bottle movements, etc.).
Experience with PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).
Experience with electronics (e.g., photo-eyes, level probes, drives/VFDs, etc.).
Experience with troubleshooting (e.g., electronics, diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
Experience with schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays, fuses, etc.).
Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs, etc.).
Experience with GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (e.g., procedures, safety, national standards such as lock-out/tag-out).
