Inly School is an independent PreK–8 Montessori-plus School located in Scituate, MA, 25 miles south of Boston. It has a student population of approximately 340 students, 76 employees, and serves 20 towns on the South Shore.

Inly School is in search of a dynamic and experienced Spanish Teacher to join our team at your earliest convenience. We offer a flexible part-time schedule tailored to your availability, giving you the choice to work with either younger or older students based on your preference. Position Highlights:

  • Flexibility: Choose the days and hours that best fit your schedule.
  • Diverse Age Groups: Opt to teach younger students or older students based on your comfort and expertise.
  • Spanish Immersion: Our teaching approach emphasizes speaking almost exclusively in Spanish, ensuring an immersive experience for our students.
  • Role in the World Languages Department: You will be a vital member of a two-person World Languages Department. Our Spanish curriculum at Inly is acquisition-based, joyful, and student-centered. We prioritize providing Comprehensible Input in Spanish that is relational, relevant, and compelling to students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish classes tailored to the age group of your choice, ensuring dynamic, interactive, and engaging lessons.
  • Offer additional support to students outside the classroom, ensuring their success and understanding of the language.
  • Complete student progress reports three times each year, providing insights into their growth and areas of improvement.
  • Collaborate with the teaching staff to plan, evaluate, and revise the curriculum, course content, materials, and methods for the Spanish language department.

Strong Candidates will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Desire to collaborate and contribute to a progressive school environment
  • An understanding of or desire to learn Montessori philosophy and pedagogy as well as an interest in current educational research and innovative practices.
  • A demonstrated ability to embrace multicultural perspectives with experience building an inclusive environment and a commitment to anti-bias teaching practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years teaching experience preferred.
