What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Lead 2nd Shift position at inmar?
This position is a 1st shift position with the following schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 pm- 1:00 am; Position Summary: Position shall be the primary point of contact and reporting point for all Security Associates. Will be primary contact for contract security providers. Provide a security presence and conduct applicable security duties as assigned during any operational hours. Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Meet, escort, and observe visitors in the facility Conduct daily stand up meetings with the Security team Create and post weekly schedule for the team Complete weekly/monthly safety checks – fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, etc Send out daily reporting via email Assigns areas for officers to patrol and presents a list of potential problems or suspect employees officers should be on the lookout for. Assist with interviews with Security team candidates with Security Supervisor Train all new security team members on all security protocols. Works with staff to develop safety plans Leads periodic safety drills for employees. Write and submit security reports Monitor staff by patrolling with them Protect the people and property Conduct routine patrols with team Look out for suspicious persons, vandalism or hazards Respond to alarms and distress calls Ensure all security systems, intrusion points & burglar alarms and CCTV are working properly Monitor access points at shift change, breaktime, and lunch times Perform daily surveillance from the security monitoring center Report infractions to management Perform random and scheduled security and pocket checks as assigned Monitor and sign out destruction trucks Act as witnesses on site for loading of trucks Accompany specified destruction trucks from the warehouse to the incinerator Act as witnesses at the incinerator for specified trucks Complete regular security inspections and audits on camera logs, random security check logs, daily activity reports and safety equipment inspections. Communicate with facility leadership, clients and vendors in a professional manner Follow professional uniformed dress code Work overtime hours as scheduled Exhibit flexibility and openness to changing assignments Perform all other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position. Ability to effectively communicate at various levels Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills Ability to successfully multitask, work efficiently, and meet deadlines in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions.
