INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in sunny Huntington Beach, CA, is seeking a Public Relations Manager to join our growing team!
We are a hybrid workplace, x2 days week in-office. Candidates must be local to SoCal.
The PR Manager will support the Director of Public Relations and work with various clients across automotive, advertising/marketing, technology, and the creator economy with a focus on corporate storytelling and executive profile building.
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced environment, with a background in communications or public relations, ideally in an ad agency setting.
The ideal candidate has some working knowledge of media monitoring tools and is also tapped into pop culture, industry news and creators; specifically, how they fit into the larger advertising ecosystem. This is an integrated role and while the focus will be corporate communications, there may also be opportunities for consumer PR.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scheduling, including coordinating internal and external meetings/calls with meticulous attention to detail
- Centralize and manage account assets and press materials including digital press kits, comprehensive press reports, and media lists
- Prepare client meeting agendas and take comprehensive notes
- Daily media coverage tracking using various media monitoring tools
- Generate press reports for internal and external distribution
- Draft client press opportunity briefing sheets and itineraries for review
- Understanding of paid social media and content creation for brands
- Conduct industry and client research as instructed by account leads
- Stay informed of advertising/marketing industry news in entertainment/business/advertising trades and social media
- Join internal brainstorms and contribute proactively
- Draft simple pitches and engage in pitching
- Facilitate phone and in-person interviews between clients and media
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations or advertising
- Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
- Effective time management and awareness, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a hunger for learning and collaborative working style.
- Proactively tackles responsibilities and communicates effectively with the team/manager
- Ability to manage up by anticipating team/account needs and providing clear task/project updates as well as confidence to ask questions
- Genuine interest in the advertising and marketing industry and media landscape, as well as building relationships
- Efficient multitasking across multiple projects and communication channels

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $70,000. Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training and/or transferable skills.

Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
