CONTROLLER
The Controller will lead financial and administrative management of a growing business reporting to the CEO. This individual will be the top accounting person within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage all the financial functions including accounting, reporting, planning and analysis, budgeting, cash cycle, treasury, insurance, lenders, payroll, audit, tax and compliance.
- Manage human resources and information technology activities.
- Prepare monthly/weekly financial reporting, comparisons to prior year and budget, periodic reforecasting, operational KPI’s and monthly board presentations.
- Manage external relationships related to finance, human resources, information technology and administration of the business including lenders, financial advisors, benefits, tax, etc.
- Manage optimization of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Provide financial support for quotes and price management
- Manage and train a team of one existing accounting/administrative assistant to support the growing business platform. Will need to be hands on initially (player-coach role), then build the team as the business scales.
- Manage annual financial review process by outside accounting firm
- Will be upgraded into a full audit in the next year
- Support team in annual strategic planning process
- Oversee and direct the work of the finance and accounting assistant
Qualifications
- 7 years plus of work experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, CPA preferred but not required
- Prior exposure in a manufacturing organization
- Technical knowledge and a thorough understanding of accounting practices, particularly as it relates to ensuring compliance with GAAP
- Financial knowledge and understanding of key financial measures and accounting methods with an emphasis on financial analysis, accurate forecasting, budgeting
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred
- Proven Excel skills required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,727.00 - $130,571.00 per year
