Located in Hanover, the IT Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day operational IT support along with general IT support for the SETA contract. Serves as the System Administrator for a closed restricted network and supports other DoD guest systems. Tasks include performing installation, troubleshooting and other administrative tasks associated with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information systems and services.

Job Description:

You will be responsible for:
- Systems planning, management, analysis, integration, installation, and training tasks that include all aspects of preparing and implementing a highly complex and integrated array of hardware, software (applications and operating systems), networks and procedures.
- Perform maintenance on virtual servers using client provided hardware and VMware ESXi servers and bare metal servers.
- Perform virtual server configurations based on instructions from Cyber Security regulations and directives.
- Be able to work independently to produce and maintain system of the following server applications, service types and technologies:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2019
- Microsoft Windows 10
- Microsoft Exchange 2016-2019
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft SQL
- VMware ESXI
- VMware
- VSphere
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Video Teleconference Systems (VTCs)
- Cisco supported IOS command line interface (CLI)
- Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs)Microsoft Office suite
- DoD CAC PKI token certificate concepts
- Termination of CAT5e/CAT6 cables
- Security hardening of Servers and client Operating Systems
- Host Based Security System (HBSS) - McAfee EPO, Anti-virus, and plugins.
- Deploying Windows images
- Network technologies including DHCP and VLANs
- STIG compliance of Server and client Operating Systems
- NSA Type 1 encryption devices
- Metro Ethernet WAN technologies (MPLS)
- ACAS (Tenable Security Center & Nessus)
- Able to perform troubleshooting of server, network, desktop, and software configurations.
- Help desk actions – troubleshooting systems access, unlocking accounts, group policy, installation of updates and software, maintenance of computers, viewing vendor’s sites for updates, market research for IA equipment and supplies.
- Monitor replacement and disposition of program office computer equipment.
- Remotely assist all off-site locations and users on software issues and updates; ensure adequate network connectivity, backups of network servers, setup and monitor all secure VTC sessions.
- Attend mandatory annual training directed by government client.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Three (3) years system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Up to 5% CONUS Travel
- Hands on experience with the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and operations of network devices such as routers, switches, and video teleconference systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of system security certification and accreditation policies, directives, regulations, and instructions for Government AIS networks.
- DoD 8570.01M base certificates including CompTIA Security , GSEC, SCNP, and SSCP.
Preferred
- CCNA
- Extensive background and experience in compliance with Army, DoD or other Government Information Systems and Information Assurance policies
- Experience in configuration and security hardening of Microsoft Windows and Linux based systems; risk analysis; disaster recover; system log analysis.
- Former military environment experience
