POSITION DESCRIPTION:
To coordinate all human resources aspects within the company. Oversee employment law compliance and work directly with managers in strategic planning regarding workforce needs, employee/employer relations, and counsel upper management/management/department supervisors regarding legal issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Manage all HR functions for four subsidiaries at various locations. Manage and supervise direct reports: payroll coordinator, training coordinator, and human resources assistant.
• Daily employee contact regarding employment issues, benefits, discipline, training and counsel regarding employment issues.
• Coach and counsel in regard to legal, compliance, liability issues, employee relations, performance management, training and development, strategic objectives, etc.
• Answers routine inquiries from inside and outside the company on employment verifications, benefits claims processing, and job openings in line with written company policy on these matters.
• Requisitions nonexempt personnel from temporary agencies as needed, schedules interviews with appropriate supervisor and coordinates the temporary worker’s assignment details.
• Maintains employment resumes, application forms, and applicant flow logs in line with company policy. Places job orders with state job service and classified advertisements in local newspapers.
• Screens of applicants, schedules interviews, submit drug screens request and conduct new employee orientations.
• Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements.
• Provides human resources department orientation on company policies and programs; signs up new employees for various programs and benefits.
• Processes enrollments, changes, and terminations of participants in all benefit plans and programs.
o Assist CFO with conducting annual benefit renewal and make recommendations for benefit plan designs.
o Ensure all benefit materials are up to date and made available to employees.
o Answer claim questions and other benefit related questions.
o Complete benefit analysis review on periodic basis.
• Oversees company policies and procedures, employee benefits, updating labor laws, ADA, FMLA & EEO compliance.
• Advise executive management of compensation structures and performance structures and implement changes to enhance performance.
o Conduct benchmarking, market and compensation analysis.
o Recommend system improvements and conduct pay structure analysis.
• Works with Training Coordinator to ensure all training ISO training is completed timely and logged in accurately in Training System.
o Work with management team members to develop new training and conduct training needs analysis.
o Assist with coordinating and assisting in scheduling training with training coordinator.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field.
• 5-10 years’ experience.
• Knowledge of USA Labor Laws.
• Demonstrated ability to influence people and organization.
• Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and electronic) skills
• Strong computer skills and experience with MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
