Our Production team contributes to our company’s success through advanced manufacturing methods, teamwork, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a full-time Production Quality Support Technician. Reporting to the Production Quality Manager, the Production Quality Support Technician will provide support to the Production Lines, with a focus on quality assurance. The candidate must be an excellent communicator and work well within a team environment.
- Participate as part of the Production Quality team by providing hands on technical support in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment
- Follow best practices and ensure that safety is built into our standard operating procedures and equipment
- Perform quality assurance testing on incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products
- Work with Production Quality and Production Supervisors to ensure all quality control and production processes are properly documented
- Collection and analysis of production data.
- Investigation of production articles through measurement, calculation, and observational analysis.
- Assist with root cause analysis on non-conforming product.
- Assist with the investigation and resolution of production issues involving parts, processes, and equipment
- Assist Production Engineering to bring new equipment online.
- Assist with QA testing programs.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects and processes changes
- Participate in professional development programs, obtain/maintain relevant certifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in electronic manufacturing
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must be an outgoing and effective communicator
Education
Candidates are required to have completed an Electronic Engineering Technician or Technologist diploma program.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and how to apply it in real situations
- Manufacturing automation experience
- Some knowledge/familiarity with PLC wiring, control, and programming
- Intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
