Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Substitute Teachers. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing quality education and support to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This is a flexible position that offers an opportunity to work with diverse age groups and gain valuable teaching experience.
Duties:
- Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure student engagement and discipline
- Provide instruction and support in various subjects and grade levels
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
- Assist with classroom management, including maintaining order and enforcing rules
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong behavior management skills
- Experience working with children or in a childcare setting
- Familiarity with classroom routines and procedures
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies is a plus
- Ability to provide one-on-one tutoring or small group instruction
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum is preferred
- Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation
- Understanding of preschool educational principles
