We are looking to hire a Staffing Coordinator!
The Scheduling/Staffing Coordinator provides support to the nursing department by coordinating the daily staffing patterns for all nursing units and ensuring proper coverage based on census and acuity. This position also provides clerical support pertaining to new job applicants, employee benefit time and reporting and filing of staffing records.
Staffing Coordinator primary responsibilities include:
- Timely posting of the nursing schedule.
- Adds names of employees signing up for extra shifts to the nursing schedule daily.
- As instructed by Director of Nursing or designated nursing supervisor replaces staff call outs.
- Daily monitoring of staffing schedule to ensure proper nursing coverage on all nursing units and alerting Director of Nursing of staffing issues promptly.
- Calculating daily and projected nursing PPD hours.
- Utilizing appropriate tools such as but not limited to the actual versus scheduled report.
- Tracks overtime usage.
- Tracks nursing employee time off requests for every scheduling period.
Staffing Coordinator Education and Experience Requirements:
- Previous scheduling experience is required
- Previous experience working in nursing homes, hospitals, ALFs, and/or home health is required
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
